Congrats!! Send me a pic of each side to: jacksoncoupage@yahoo.com

      What type of packaging?

    • Stephen Young November 13, 2011 at 10:13 pm #

Was your pull from a pack box,hi # set, or complete factory set? If you could answer I would like to know what type of product they are being pulled from. I have some of all and would be interested in in breaking open to see what I could find. Thanks !

  3. SAL March 21, 2011 at 7:20 pm #

I didn’t know there was that many varieties or ‘errors’in the overproduced 90’s cards.
When you open your factory sets or boxes, how do you handle or reduce the excess amount of cards? Team sets, donations, flea market?

    • junkwaxgems March 22, 2011 at 9:37 am #

      Hi Sal,

It does add up quickly. I hate clearing out excess junk because I usually end up hearing of or finding something new days or weeks after. With the exception of 1990 Pro Set football (appx. 100,000 now), I pretty much donate everything that isn’t affected by some type of variation, including stars and most RCs unless they are a major star/HOFer RC. Craigslist is another avenue I’ve used, typically offering 20-50,000 at a time for $30-50. They usually don’t last 24 hours.

I have an interesting variation. It’s a 1987 Tim Teufel Topps with about a ½ inch black line missing along the black border of his name. Ever hear of it? I could send a scan

    • wordpress32 May 28, 2012 at 9:18 pm #

Sorry I am late to this, but I would love to see the Teufel also.

  5. richtree June 27, 2011 at 8:41 am #

    Jason,

I would love to see the Teufel — please post a picture or send me one richtree@gmail.com

    Hi,

I was going through some of my cards and I noticed that my 1990 Upper Deck baseball Heroes Reggie Jackson card is missing the Upper Deck hologram at the back of the card (card 7 of 9).

I have seen copies where there is a hologram, and I was wondering how rare is this card without the hologram.

    Thanks.

    /Stan

Dear Junk Wax Gems: Please go to ebay and type in 1990 Upper Deck error. You will see about 15 auctions pop up. My three auctions are under les1936. I listed 19 errors with 17 that you may not be aware of. My list is up to 24 variations just in the 1990 Upper Deck High series. This list is complete. I went through a large sample size. All high numbers went through a magnifying glass screening. Thank you, Les

I have what I believe to be a variation on Joe Montana card#: 381 from the 89 Proset issue. The card comes both with 2 red/maroon spots on right side of his jersey and without. Has anyone else seen this variation ? I only recently came across it. Wondered if this could be a new variation to hunt down of a HOF’er? Thanks !

I have two 1989 Topps Mark McGwire card s # 70 that are blank on the front and complete on the back. The cards are in mint condition, but are two different colors, one is very dark black the other looks much lighter like the printer was low on ink. I have not seen any McGwire cards like these error cards. Do you know of any others and what if any value they have. I can send a scan of the cards if that would help.

I have a 1987 Topps #156 Seattle Mariners Leaders that has a blue fading color rather than the red tint of the same card.

Also have 5 from Topps 1988 that have very unique machine press gear grooves that are about 1/2″ wide and run the length of the cards, would like to know if anyone has seen anything like this.

    • Dylan February 10, 2012 at 10:32 am #

Please email a scan, I’d be interested in seeing it. Thanks!

    • wordpress32 May 28, 2012 at 9:19 pm #

  14. Glavine Piazza December 15, 2012 at 7:15 am #

A few days ago I ran across what is the rarest error cards of all time Guinness World Records says it is The two cards found 16 years apart have been authenticated by SGC with each card being an “Isolated Error Card” a 1 of 1 their selves. Each card was only available as insert cards in hobby packs, Each belongs to different sets and each being a cross matching print error of the other card.
on the “Fleer 1994 Tom Glavine League Leader” card “Fleer Award Winner Mike Piazza” is misprinted. SGC also made an error when grading should be # 11 not 3 the card has no number on back UER. This card is in a 12 card insert set called “League Leaders” inserted 1:17 packs.
on the “Fleer 1994 Mike Piazza Award Winners” card “Tom Glavine League Leader” is misprinted . This card is in a 6 card insert set called “Award Winners” inserted 1:37 packs.
Found the misprinted Tom Glavine sometime in 1994. found the misprinted Mike Piazza in January 2012
These two error cards are the only known examples of this type of isolated cross matching error.
sources set the odds of this at 1 in 6,781,522,500,000 (yes that’s trillion) Making these cards the rarest cards in the world by far . A pitcher and catcher both headed to HOF

does anyone know where to find 92 pro set #24 nick lowery with jersey number 8 on the back?

  16. Eric July 3, 2013 at 10:54 am #

I am pretty certain this card is an uncorrected error – even though some of the guides list this as having been corrected, I don’t believe there have ever been any examples of a corrected version of this card appearing.

  17. always on the hunt July 9, 2013 at 12:14 am #

i didnt think so, but looking keeps the fire burning. another thing, i was hoping to find were ground force cards from 92 series 1.

  18. roger grider December 12, 2014 at 7:58 am #
